La Thuile ski slopes
The Espace San Bernardo is a vast international ski area linking the resorts of La Thuile in the picturesque Aosta Valley and La Rosière in the charming French Savoie. It is a true paradise for ski enthusiasts, offering 156 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, suitable for all levels of ability. Both beginners and experts can find runs to suit their abilities, ranging from the easiest to the most technical.
The run that makes La Thuile unique is undoubtedly the ‘Tre’, which has been the scene of epic battles during the 2016 Women’s World Cup and the Telemark World Cups. Espace San Bernardo boasts a special microclimate, allowing for an extended ski season.
With 83 runs, a convenient international ski pass and 37 modern ski lifts, you can enjoy unforgettable days on the snow. The Espace San Bernardo is not just a ski area, but also a venue for adrenaline-fuelled snow activities: it offers 1 snowpark, 1 boardercross course, 1 groomed and monitored ski mountaineering route, 1 safe freeride zone and 1 snowkiting area easily accessible via the lifts.
The highlight of the ski area is Mont Valaisan, which rises to 2,800 metres above sea level. This peak can be reached via two modern chairlifts from both the French and Italian sides, via the Belvedere. From these heights, the 360° panoramic view of the majestic French mountains on one side and the spectacular Italian peaks on the other is simply breathtaking.
