La Thuile Slopes
Espace San Bernardo is a vast international ski area that unites the resorts of La Thuile in the picturesque Aosta Valley and La Rosière in picturesque French Savoy. It is a true paradise for ski enthusiasts, offering 152 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes suitable for all skill levels. Beginners and experts alike can find trails suited to their skills, from easy to more technical runs.
The slope that makes La Thuile unique is undoubtedly the “Three,” which saw epic challenges during the Women’s World Cup in 2016 and in the Telemark World Cups. Espace San Bernardo boasts a special microclimate, allowing for an extended ski season.
With 81 slopes, a convenient international ski pass, and 38 modern lifts with a total hourly capacity of 63,200 people, you can enjoy unforgettable days in the snow. Espace San Bernardo is not only a space for skiing, but also a place for adrenaline activities on the snow: it offers 2 slalom stages, 1 snowpark, 1 boarder cross slope, 4 groomed and controlled ski alp trails, 2 fun cross areas, 1 safe free rider area, and 1 snowkite area easily accessible by lifts. In addition, there are 2 children’s playgrounds designed to meet all the needs of families.
The highlight of the ski area is Mont Valaisan, which rises 2,800 meters above sea level. This peak can be reached via two modern chairlifts from both the French and Italian sides, via the Belvedere located at 2,650 meters. From these peaks, the 360° panoramic view of the majestic French mountains on one side and the spectacular Italian peaks on the other is simply thrilling.
